Fifteen-year-old Danya Powell has been gifted by God to share the message of His grace-filled Gospel through music and song. A talented musician and composer, she plays the piano, keyboard, and guitar, and she has written over 200 songs.
She grew up singing in church and began piano lessons at the age of six. At the age of eleven, she was invited to join the teen worship band, “Without Shoes” (which was based out of
Today Danya leads worship every week for the youth at FBC, and she continues to accept opportunities to lead worship at area churches. She often accompanies her mom, Rebecca, to lead worship at women’s and parenting conferences. Recently, Danya served as a contributing author on her mom’s latest Bible study for girls, Get Real! Embrace the Reality of Ruth.
